SPOILERS Thalia's change in the show

SpoilerDiscussion

I personally love Thalia's change in the show. A lot of people think this ruins her motivations and make it easier for her to join Kronos but I think a lot of people are misinterpreting her character because she was never that in the books either.

In TTC from what I remember (ofc correct me if I am wrong) , everyone around her was constantly trying to make her join a side, Dr.Thorn was trying to get her join Kronos but in the books, that storyline becomes a little confusing by the fact that Thalia is constantly praying and believing in Zeus. She literally fight for Zeus in the books so that motivation of thinking she may join Kronos side becomes a little confusing by her own dialogue and actions.

NOW, in the show, she is the face of neutrality, she doesn't believe in Zeus , she doesn't believe in Kronos, she just believes in the friends around her (just like Percy), so she becomes a force to be reckoned with from both sides and a potential threat, which makes both sides desperately wanting her favor more realistic and in line with Percy's and everyone doubts on where she stands.

It also enhances her decision to join the hunters bc the hunters even if they serve one of the Olympians, they are still neutral ground, they only obey Artemis and are loyal to Artemis and Artemis prioritizes them over anything, that's why Thalia chooses them at the end.

And adding to that, it also adds to her punk and rebellious personality, because yes, Thalia being punk would never be on either side of two systems that harm the people below them and would stay in the side of those same people.

So yeah, I personally think this change was for the better and makes Thalia an even more interesting character
