>I had a dream last night which was sort of treated like a videogame: at the beginning of the game, there is a burning tree; and once you knock it over, the water from the lakes surrounding it disappears, and you go into this society building simulator where you gather resources out of the lakebeds and build your community.

>However, half way through the dream, instead of taking down the tree, I (from the perspective of Derum) dove into the lake under the tree and refused to put out the fire and cause the lakes to disappear. Eventually, I meet up with the Sovereign of Wind (Chen) and make an alliance, with the name of the Gale of Tides Alliance.

And just to be clear, they WERE Derum and Chen in everything but name IN THE DREAM. That's not something I added in after the fact lol.

Personally, sounds like a dope as hell AU tbh. Their royalty skins I made a while back even fit the water/wind element vibe already. I even got the idea that, in opposition to the Gale of Tides; the people who wanted the tree destroyed so they had easy access to the earth and it's minerals (so they can refine them in their furnaces and create materials for industry) become the Kingdom of the Burning Earth (not as cool as the Gale of Tides Alliance tbh, might change the name later lol); just to round out the water/fire/earth/air combo.

It actually also works on a story level, too; because the Gale of Tides was formed with the goal of not destroying the lakes and maintaining the natural environment of the world, and their enemies are the people who were upset that they are stopping them from getting easy access to the materials needed to start industry and building a giant society.

Oh, also, it's canon that the Sovereign of Water can breath underwater, and is sort of a merperson (just a very human-looking merperson); and that the castle they live in is located at the bottom of the lakes. How the hell the Sovereign of Wind and his people are also living down there, who tf knows :/

>Also, there was also a funny joke in the dream where during the party celebrating the alliance and the start of this dual sovereign kingdom; the bard from the water kingdom drunkenly sang a song about how caked up the Sovereign of Wind was and how everyone wants a piece of that ass; and when the Sovereign of Water (Derum) scolded and told him off for saying something so crass in front of the soveriegn's, the bard responded "oh sorry, I didn't mean to make you jealous. I promise we wont take him away from you ;)" and left him utterly embarrassed XD

Anyways, yeah, just a fun idea based on my dream last night. Thank god I already had these royalty skins already made, because that means I don't have to wait to draw this potential fantasy royalty AU for when I'm not working on my other stuff.

Also, I'm the bard now; Sovereign of Water/Sovereign of Wind is my new OTP (sorry canon Derum/Chen, you're just not as iconic =3=)
