Girlfriend says she’s fine with kissing but seems nervous, should I take the lead more?
I’m 18 and my girlfriend is 18, we’re both pretty new to physical stuff. We cuddle and lie next to each other sometimes, and we’ve kissed/made out a couple times (we also kiss (small peck) goodbye). She’s said she’s fine with kissing, but when we’re together she often scrolls on her phone and seems a bit nervous.
When we do make out, sometimes after a few kisses she laughs or apologizes and says she’s just new to it and gets awkward. She also sometimes leaves earlier than she used to, which makes me overthink even though she keeps wanting to hang out.
I don’t want to pressure her at all, but I also don’t know how things are supposed to progress if she’s anxious and distracted.
Should I just take the lead more in person and create the moments, or is it better to slow everything down and let her fully set the pace?
