Wolf attacks

I'm having an issue with the wolf attacks during winter. I'll beat back all the wolves but the last one will be stuck, not coming out of the woods to attack.

I have my one ranch on the bottom map and the stuck wolf will be at the top map, always on the right side. To stop the wolf attack I have to save and go back to the main menu.

Is anyone else having this issue? I am on the switch.
