wth is wrong with this game's matchmaking?

I have close to 200 games and I'm by no means a very good player but I CAN play. Some matches are fine and competitive but then sometimes I'm getting into matches that leave me flabbergasted... Like, why am I laning with a Geist that is clearly very new to the game and is backing into walls? Why in the same game the enemy team gets rejuv and my Dynamo is asking why the enemy team just revived? Like I don't have an issue with people being bad or new but these type of matchmaking is making me wonder why I even play y'know?
