Dead & free homesite power 6500 worth fixing?

hello, I am starting to live in an RV and in need of a generator to use mainly for running electric heat and other various things like a small fridge, a laptop and a TV. my boss offered his non working Homesite power 6500 generator which has been sitting in his basement for 10+ and unused.

is it worth trying to get it working? I see a new battery cost about $30, anything else I should worry about or know? should I just buy my own new generator?
