Is this fraud or legit job?
Hi everyone, I need some advice and I’m feeling a bit confused and worried. I recently applied for jobs and got contacted by a company called Jarvis and Company (not sure if that’s the exact name). They offered me a tele-caller / customer support job, which sounds good. But before I can join, they are asking me to download a bunch of “demat account” apps or accounts through their affiliated links. They say I have to do this before they confirm the job or start my training/pay me. They also said I’ll earn good money once I complete that, but I’m not sure. It feels strange to me — I didn’t think I’d need to create investment or demat accounts just to get a customer support job. I haven’t paid them any money yet, but I’m wondering if this is a scam or something legit. Has anyone heard of this company or been offered something like this before? Is it normal to be asked to download so many demat accounts before a job starts? I’m worried it could be some kind of referral scam where they make money from the accounts I create. Any help or similar experiences would be appreciated! Thanks in advance 😊
