Duster launched without AWD?

Saw the launch event there is no mention of AWD/4x4, car reviewers claim there is no AWD and their walkaround's seem to suggest there is no place for the controls (gagan choudhary' video), news articles say "Renault is skipping AWD" (autocar, india today, carscoops). My disappointment is immeasurable.

With them marketing it as a go anywhere vehicle should we hold hope? Is there a chance of AWD?
