Jealous wife made a scene

I (70M) and my wife (61F) have been nudists all our lives. A while ago we were at the beach and enjoyed swimming and sunbathing. There was a couple near us and the husband couldn’t stop staring at my wife. She teasingly waved over to him after about half an hour of constant staring.

This annoyed his wife so much. She came over screaming and shouting at my wife. Saying that it was so inappropriate and that she was a disgrace. Her husband had to hold her back and physically carry her away while she kept screaming. He apologised for her behaviour.

Were we in the wrong? Or was she?
