I got fed up with gym apps… so I built my own simple workout tracker
Hey everyone đź‘‹Â
 Â
I’ve been training for years and every workout tracker I tried eventually annoyed me.Â
 Â
It was always one of these:Â
• Way too clutteredÂ
• Locked behind subscriptionsÂ
• Overengineered with AI and features I never asked forÂ
• Or impossible to edit properly once a workout was loggedÂ
 Â
So instead of going back to messy Notes… I built my own app: GymLogs.Â
 Â
The goal was simple: a no-nonsense workout log that stays out of your way.Â
What it does:Â
• Log workouts by dateÂ
• Organise exercises into categoriesÂ
• Edit exercise names globally (old logs update automatically)Â
• Copy past workouts to save time.Â
• Get notified when you match or beat previous PRsÂ
 Â
That’s it. No fluff. No subscription wall. You workout rather than the app working you out.Â
Â
I originally built it just for myself, but now I’m at the point where I want real feedback before deciding where to take it next.Â
 Â
I’d honestly love to hear:Â
• What features you actually use in a gym log/tracker appÂ
• What drives you crazy about existing onesÂ
• Do you prefer simple & editable or feature-packed?Â
Â
If anyone wants to try it or give me constructive criticism, I’m all ears.Â
Appreciate you reading.Â
