Change my mind

I have played RE7, RE8, RE4 remake and now I am playing RE2 remake. I really enjoyed all of them except 2 remake. Its boring to me, also its annoying (low storing capacity, too dark, cant see anything, annoyingly slow Leon movements, no merchant). Also I dont get the story. In RE7 you are looking for your wife, in RE8 your are looking for your baby, in 4 remake you are saving the president daughter, but in 2 remake I dont have any excitement, purpose or satisfaction in it. Im only at the beggining of sewer, but I dont feel the need to continue the game.

Do you think RE9 will be the same experience for me as 2 remake?
