I’m honestly shocked this isn’t blowing up yet, so here you go.

Capital One Shopping is running a referral promo that’s… kind of absurd.

No purchase. No credit card. No “spend $50 to get $20 back” nonsense.

# The deal (actual requirements):

1. Sign up with a referral link (mine: 👉 [https://capitaloneshopping.com/r/c75d9478-7522-4464-91e6-3c92a7fad7e0](https://capitaloneshopping.com/r/c75d9478-7522-4464-91e6-3c92a7fad7e0) )
2. Install the browser extension
3. Leave it installed for 90 days
4. $80 gets deposited into your Capital One Shopping account

That’s it. You can literally never click it again if you don’t want to.

# Why are they doing this?

Capital One is pushing their Shopping extension hard right now and offering a straight easy bonus just for trying it out.

Instead of making people jump through spending requirements, they’re paying users simply for installing it and keeping it around for a bit. They are trying to Grow their user base to compete with Rakuten and similar sites.

Basically, they want more people using it — and they’re willing to pay for that.

# PRO TIP (this is where it gets silly):

If you have a partner / roommate / sibling:

* You install → get $80
* Refer them → you get another $80
* They also get $80

That’s $240 total between two people for \~3 minutes of effort. Set a calendar reminder for 90 days if you’re paranoid, then uninstall.

# About the extension itself (surprisingly not trash):

I’d actually recommend it even without the bonus.

* At checkout, it automatically tests coupon codes for you (no Googling, no copying)
* If there’s cashback available, it pops up and you click once to activate
* Cashback usually shows as pending for \~30 days (normal anti-return delay), then becomes withdrawable

I attached screenshots:

* Top left: I’m literally checking out at a pizza place — it auto-runs 10 coupon codes and picks the best one
* Bottom: the app shows personalized offers + wild cashback promos (e.g. $150 back for switching internet providers through their link)

Again: you don’t need to buy anything to get the $80. That’s just upside if you already shop online.

If you hate it? Remove the extension. Worst case you wasted 2 minutes. Best case you get paid to do nothing.

I’d rather you use my link than some random influencer’s — but either way, don’t sleep on free money.
