Front load washing machine for elders - Yay or nay?

My family has been using top load washing machines for long time. This year, I want to try front load for water efficiency. But my mum has knee pains and can't bend knees.

So I'm thinking of adding some pedestal under the washing machine to raise it higher so we can put clothes into the load without bending knees.

Yes, I'm aware of its strong vibration (it happens if it's unbalanced). So I'm looking for metal pedestal where we can store detergents in it.

What's your opinion?
