TWD Review

Discussion

Well, I started playing this game again, now finishing a series of chapters and seasons that I left incomplete since season 1, chapter 3 (2016).

I started playing it again from the first season because there were things I didn't remember… and man. The game is so depressing that it took me days to recover from everything.

Mostly because when I played it for the first time, I was a kid, a rebellious and silly teenager! Haha.

Playing it again made me realize how sensitive I get over time.

Starting with season 1.

I found it BEAUTIFUL, absolutely perfect. Of course, it lays the foundation for what's to come, but it's so well done that in the course of the other seasons, you really miss everything that was in the first season, like the nostalgia you feel when you pass by your old school. I especially remember Ben's death, which I found sad, even though he was a somewhat clumsy guy. And I can't forget Lee's death; it took me days to gather my strength and not cry while trying to open the game.

Season 2.

I found it GOOD but rushed. The game improves, but I feel that some plots, episodes, or character developments seem rushed. I don't call it bad; it's really good. The characters' deaths carry a weight, a burden we're accepting.

It's just as sad, especially when you're in the last two episodes.

Season 3.

Here I was really disappointed a bit. The story is forgettable, with quite hateful characters, and the consequences of your actions feel very little weight.

Besides, it feels just as fast-paced as season 2, or even faster.

The only thing that surprised me was when I tried to save Trip and he ends up dying. I genuinely expected something noble, a good outcome.

Season 4.

A MASTERPIECE, THE REDEMPTION.

And yes, this last season, where we accompany Clem on her final journey through the video game, is excellent. I love it.

The game's quality is back up. The deaths, the story, and everything in general is fascinating. You feel the weight of each action and its consequences, as well as the emotion behind the different situations that unfold.

When I put on Clem's hat, I cried buckets, because it marked the end of a cycle, the closing of a chapter in my life, a time that has passed, and playing this game brought back memories.

Anyway, I'm happy to be playing TWD again and finally finishing it. I wanted to share this.

(Extra)

TWD MICHONE.

Entertaining and excellent story, on par with the first season.

TWD 400 DAYS.

Entertaining stories, not very memorable; it's fun trying to get all the survivors to the shelter.
