Futureproof ATB frame recommendation.

I’m looking to build an all-arounder/ATB.

I want flat bars and I want it to be quickish…leaning towards a 1x drivetrain with a 40something chain ring.

I will be using it mostly on roads: Blacktop, gravel and fire roads/double-track. (Possible the occasional 1-night camping trip, sub24o)

I currently have a singlespeed Ogre, that will always be single.

I previously had a cross-check that I loved dearly until she was taken from me.

At this point, I am leaning towards a Preamble frame…but I am concerned about “boxing my self in” with older standards. ( No-boost, no thru-axle)

I’m curious about any experience you guys have had with a flatbar Straggler or Midnight Special.
