Hi guys, I’m here to talk about a very frustrating situation happening with ticket sales for the shows in São Paulo. I’ve seen many people complaining about the prices (rightfully so, as they are well above average here), but I believe this particular issue is mainly happening in Brazil, and I wanted to know if it’s occurring elsewhere too.

First of all, I know this isn't Harry’s fault, as I believe things are normal in other places. However, yesterday (the 26th), exclusive sales began for specific Santander cardholders, and unfortunately, the reports were terrible. Online sales started at 11 AM and tickets sold out instantly; the queue wasn't moving. But that was the least of it. Yesterday also marked the in-person sales for this exclusive group, starting at noon. The first person in line could not get a ticket. Important detail: it was stated that there were tickets available both online and physically, so if it was guaranteed, how did the first person fail to get one?

I’ll answer that for you. I don’t know what you call them abroad, but here we have 'cambistas' (scalpers). They are terrible people who buy up all the tickets before fans can get them and then resell them for much higher than the original price. At the physical box office, more than three men were seen leaving with their pockets full of tickets. According to reports, they were selling them at absurd prices, which is a crime here in Brazil.

It was discovered that Ticketmaster staff negotiated with these scalpers and sold the tickets before opening the physical line. Those responsible would supposedly get a cut of the money from the illegal sales. They sold our tickets to people who aren't fans, taking away the chance for thousands of people to see Harry.

What they didn't count on was that we wouldn't let it slide. An uproar started on the internet, with photos circulating of these scalpers holding stacks of tickets. In a few days, ticket sales for the Army (BTS fans) will begin via Ticketmaster as well, which helped spread the word about this terrible situation, as they started to revolt too.

The authorities in São Paulo have arrived and started an investigation, and PROCON (the public consumer protection agency in Brazil) has opened a lawsuit against Ticketmaster (which we later found out is already facing a lawsuit in the U.S. for similar reasons). It’s very upsetting that this is happening and Harry’s team isn't stepping in to try and resolve it. I confess I'm very afraid he might cancel his visit here because of these problems. It was also reported that a man was pretending to be a police officer in line to 'organize' it, but was actually helping the scalpers.

Honestly, I don’t know what else to say. Just be careful that the same thing isn't happening at your shows, and if it is, revolt too. Post about it, spread the word; Ticketmaster needs to understand that this is not how things work.

I’ll leave some photos below of news reports and one showing the scalpers with stacks of tickets.

In the first photo, you can see the scalpers and the stacks of tickets. The second photo says: 'Harry Styles concert in São Paulo sparks lawmakers' complaint against scalper activity'. And the third one says: 'Harry Styles: fans complain about ticket sales, and deputies call on PROCON and other agencies'."
