TV cycles on and off, going from black to grey

My Vizio TV cycles on and off, but when it comes on (every 30 seconds), it's just a grey screen. I never see a Vizio logo, or a menu, or anything. The buttons on the side do nothing. Holding down the power button did nothing. Is the screen broken?
