Advice needed
I am in need of honest and objective advice related to my career. I graduated undergrad almost 6 years ago and have had 6 jobs since. Every job I have, I find something wrong with. This is to the point that it makes me dread work every day and makes me very depressed.
I have noticed that it’s gotten worse since starting my new job. I do not want to say what I do but I am in a low-level administrative role and I am always on edge that the phone is going to ring or someone is going to call me on teams and I don’t know why. One thing to note is the person who trained me was not very friendly or helpful which made my start here pretty rocky and I think that has something to do with it. I also have not gotten any formal feedback (or informal really) so I have no idea how I am doing and that makes me on edge as well. Considering I am in a low-level admin role and attend no meetings, I feel like I have no reason to feel so anxious all the time about work. But my anxiety about work is extreme and haunts me all the time, even on weekends. I just dread it.
I am looking for advice on how I can settle into a career, and if anyone else has experienced similar feelings. Also if anyone has any explanation for these feelings. I know I probably sound like a big baby because obviously we all have to work to make money and live our lives, but I can’t help these feelings. I don’t know why I am feeling this way.
