**Early Life**

Oliver Cleaver Kaneko was born on March 9^(th), in Longueuil, Canada and raised in Sainte-Julie, Canada. His father, Edan Cleaver, is Japanese-English, and his mother, Anya Baker, is Canadian. He has 2 older half-brothers (Jessy, Dylan), 1 older sister (Ayame), 3 younger brothers (Rafael, William, Tobias), and 3 younger sisters (Annabelle, Erika, Tifany). Oli also spent a lot of time in his extended family in the United Kingdom. His interest in music came in at around 10 from his eldest brother Jessy who owns a music store. He started learning guitar with his brother as a teacher.
In high-school, Oli was bullied because of his height. He's very open about not liking to be teased about it. He started his musical career by joining the band *Tear The Pages* as a rhythm guitarist being recruited by Drake Taylor, the band's drummer and now producer of *Feathers of Ashes*.

**Career**

**Feathers of Ashes**

Oliver founded Feathers of Ashes with Abigail Braun and Elijah Grzegorczyk. They brought in Thomas Lee, Oliver's childhood friend, as rhythm guitarist, and Nolan Cooper as drummer. Thomas, being a temporary fill for the rhythm guitarist position, was replaced by August Sinclair 2 years after the formation of the band.

A year after the creation of Feathers of Ashes, Oli and Nolan started dating. Their relationship brought conflict in the band, eventually leading in the couple's messy breakup after 3 years.

They currently are in hiatus until finding a new drummer.

**Tear the Pages**

When he was only 16, Oliver joined Tear the Pages as a rhythm guitarist. The band was dissolved when the lead vocalist was diagnosed with throat cancer.
