Do you follow the maintenance Minder?

Hello all,

To start, I currently drive a 2015 Honda Pilot Touring Model with 220 000 KMs and I still love the car.

Now, recently, a colleague of mine got some horrible news and needs a new engine for his Porsches Macan and in his research, a common problem is that the maintenance minder doesn't require you to do your oil changes enough, meaning, you're going to long without an oil change.

What are your thoughts? Ive been following the maintenance minder on my Pilot since I've gotten the car, but now, a few different sources are saying that you should do your oil changes every 6-8000 KMs depending on if you use regular or synthetic oil.

What is the consensus here?
