Food noise came back FAST after stopping sema for 5 weeks
For about 9 months, I was on semaglutide (1mg/week), but insurance issues pushed me off it for a little over a month. The most surprising thing wasn’t that my hunger increased, it was the noise in my head just getting unbearable.
The thoughts of food just filled my head and next thing I knew I was snacking impulsively and I was getting anxious around meals again, and it’s been so long I really thought I forgot about it.
I wasn’t binging or losing control. But it felt like my brain was going back to how it was before I was on sema.
I’m on 0.5 now and titrating up again, and the difference is night and day. This entire experience makes me think about the people who call glps just “habit builders” since food noise is a big thing, so is this a willpower issue or a biology issue?
