Booking first international trip with friend

I want to book an earlier evening flight because my work ends at 6 and I have time to go to the airport but my friend wants to book a later flight that’s more expensive - her class also ends at 6 and taking car to the airport is like 30 minutes so she can make it and get past customs before the flight is scheduled to depart

What should I do?? I told her I can just fly on my own and meet her there but she says she doesn’t like flying on her own
