Anyone know what the alarm was at 2am this morning s5

Very loud alarm s5 think it was coming from Barnsley rd direction but heard all the way over at Margetson. It was a loud single tone going on for about 15-20 mins then ended like a ww2 siren turning off. It reminded me of the type of alarm they use prior to blasting or controlled demolition.
