Any VERY emotional anime recommendations out there like A town where you live?

My all time favourite romance Anime would definitely be 'A town where you live'. That anime just hit me right in the feels! I'm look for something similar to it. I wasn't really a very big fan of Clannad as I didn't really grasp the plot that well and wasn't really that romantic. I'm open to suggestions!

Jokes aside, have you tried "True Tears"? It didn't hit me as hard as Kimi no iru machi, but it's still very good.

Anohana

I've never seen 'A town where you live' (As a romance genre lover I'll add it to my list), but when I think of an emotional anime Anohana probably takes the cake. It has some romance in it, but isn't the main aspect, I would give it a try.

A town where you live is a must watch! I've seen anohana, it has some romance in it but it's not as "hearty" as A town where you live. Suzuka is another one to watch, it is very similar to a town where you live.

Gotcha, I'm currently in the middle of about ten different shows, so once I finish a few I'll make sure to pick both of those up!

I haven't seen 'A town where you live'. But if you are interested in a VERY emotional show about romance, blows of fate and fucked up relationships, take a look at Rumbling Hearts (Kimi ga Nozomu Eien).

I'd suggest finishing Clannad..After story is just amazing. But I would also say check out Toradora! and Angel Beats. Also if you just want a straight forward romance try out Say I love you. Also I would say Elfen Lied is pretty emotional...but it's not really a romance..and it's pretty dark and what not.

I looooove toradora! However the ending for me was a little bit of a disappointment..

Yeah I'd agree with you there. But honestly that's why I recommend Clannad so much, it has an amazing ending. You could also check out Kannon and Air, their supposed to be sad..but their by the same company as Clannad. If you'd like to check out a movie. 5cm per second is a great emotional movie..made me cry lol.
