What’s inside?
What do you look like inside?
Does your soul smile at stupid jokes?
Like you?
Does it decorate itself and demand the eyes of others?
Like you?
Will it cry at the loss of loved ones?
Like you?
Will it cry at the loss of you?
Would you like it to?
Would you cry if your soul flickered out?
If the flame inside wept until all that’s left is a cloud of broken smoke?
Or would you be content if it meant you longer feel its burn?
You would.
I’m 18 and not wrote anything purposefully since i was about 12. I was kinda prodigy at creative writing in primary school and i enjoyed it i want to discover that side of myself again. But i dont even know if this counts as poetry or what. Any feedback welcomed
