The Perfect Recipe Missing Trash

So I have watched several YouTube videos of people doing this quest and have noticed that they show a piece of trash on the table in front of the couch. My save doesn't show it there. I have tried reloading the game both in the apartment and outside, but neither has worked. I have attempted reloading 6 times now, and the missing trash still won't show up. Is there any way to fix this, or does someone know how to get the quest id so I can use the console to advance the quest?
