So i started to read “Leave the Divorce to a Professional Lawyer” i just finished the Estelle arc and i liked it up to now, the idea of FL being a divorce lawyer and the person she is getting divorce for being the reincarnator is F ing brilliant (seriously i need more stories where the FL is not the reincarnator/regressor without the said character being a white lotus villain)

But there is something that i do not quite. While the divorce was happening Estelle clearly held feelings for Claude, it was clear that their relationship improved and their feelings were mutual and Estelle was mostly getting a divorce because she fears the OG FL will steal Claude. But then Estelle remembers the supposed “poisoning attempt“ and realized it was the OG Estelle attempting to off herself after Claude insulted her because she literally attacked her sister and after she wakes up from remembering this it appears all of her feelings for Claude is lost and she treats him VERY coldly.

I have a hard time understanding the justification for this. I realize that s..cide is no easy matter and Estelle must have been really hurt all but she literally hit the dude’s sister (and has done countless similar things before) and RIGHTFULLY got insulted for it so why is the story acting like Claude has done something terrible that cannot be forgiven ? He didn’t know Estelle was gonna took it that badly and do the things she was gonna do, Estelle literally hit her sister and in his anger he told her to off herself and Estelle being a crazy woman actually took it seriously and attempted it. I don’t think this is on Claude

Like maybe i am stupid and insensitive but i fail to see that much fault in Claude in this situation that made the new Estelle completely flip over in her feelings for Claude that she goes “the Estelle who loved you is dead” as if not only Claude is solely responsible for the situation or that she did not love him herself just moments ago. Like the story made it seem like this is a “he did such a bad thing that it is normal she will divorce him now” moment to justify the divorce cause until that point the divorce seemed like it was not needed but i fail to see how it justifies it.

If the new Estelle was that wounded over the bullying in her first year of marriage and genuinely did not love Claude then i fully support her even if Claude loves her but she was actually in love with Claude herself despite all of that, was practically only divorcing due to “original story and FL” bullshit but then she remembers OG Estelle got insulted over being a TERRIBLE freakin person who torments maids and hits Claude’s sister just for walking with him and she now decides her feelings for him is now over ? It just doesn’t make sense to me what the story is trying to tell me here, that Claude is responsible for insulting the woman who hit her sister ?

I am currently reading “Leave the Divorce to a Professional Lawyer” and i like it a lot but there is something i have trouble understanding
