finished the crawlspace rim joist insulation !! wooo hooo look at me

what a pita job. Im just going to complain about how much it sucked. Rat poop, fiberglass everywhere dirt everywhere 2ft mx for height. The side that didnt have hvac on it was the easiest and I finished up tonight on the hard side. Found the hole in the rim where the rats were getting in. I foamed it but back tomorrow to put metal over it. Every joist got 2" inches hard foam and then great stuff all aaround. Used the pro14 gun and the taller cans that go with it, so much better than the 12oz cans, although I recommend if you use the pro 14, bring 1 12oz for the hard to reach spots. I had one wall full of dwv/hvac and 2 ft away from the joists. Get coveralls, 3M masks gloves and acetone for cleaning the pro 14 gun and you are set. Dont cut pre cut the hard foam to size, Go 1 inch in width and height so you dont have to rework in the crawlspace. If you have an oscillating tool, bring it with a drywall blade for cutting the foam. Instead of a bucket, get a shallow plastic tub, its easier to push or drag than a bucket. tomorrow I start in the attic air sealing and I actually can believe Im looking forward to this part.
