Matured aged student on youth allowance- just finished studies and asking to go on job seeker to help find work and cover costs

Hi, I’m on youth allowance I was able to change the end of date of study’s from a teacher provided documentation and to not getting my registration straight away. Phone caller assured me it would be an easy transfer to job seeker when Im registered and assured me that that they get nursing students all the time waiting for their registration to get on job keeper safely

Called Centrelink today to change end of date and to transfer to job seeker and they are saying that I have debt now and I’m awaiting a call back from the supervisor. Have waited over an hour. Anxiously waiting. Am I in the wrong here?
