Intermittent bright red blood with normal colonoscopy 2 weeks ago — hemorrhoids or flare?

Hi everyone — I have ulcerative colitis and am on Humira (recently spaced to every other week). I had a colonoscopy with biopsies about 2 weeks ago and everything came back normal, no active inflammation and no dysplasia. I was super happy because i was dealing with it for so long and this confirmed by 6 month remission.

Over the past week, I’ve had a a couple episodes of bright red blood, but it’s:

• On the outside of the stool / on wiping
• Not mixed into the stool
• Not happening every bowel movement (there were several days with no blood)

My stools are otherwise formed and normal, and I’m not having urgency, diarrhea, cramping, or increased frequency.

I have had a little mucus at times. I did eat some spicy/processed snack food before one of the episodes, not sure if that matters because I ate them during remission all the time.

Just trying to understand if this sounds more like a local issue vs early flare. I am messaging my GI as well. But they are taking forever... Im getting nervous and UC obvi gets worse with stress. Please lmk!!!
