Americans…are you striking tomorrow?

I’ve been off Instagram for months now, and while I’ve been keeping up with the awful events in the news here, I hadn’t heard about the general strike planned for tomorrow, Jan 30th until tonight. Maybe I had be disassociating too hard. It can be so challenging for me to find the balance between taking breaks from constant awful news about the events in our country, and staying present in making sure those events aren’t going unnoticed.

I know this community has had other posts recently around how to cope with this, and the strike feels like a small action I can take to hopefully make some difference, so I decided to participate. Does anyone else plan to? Taking off of work/school? Not buying anything? Both?
