Hey everyone, just wanted to share an update on the app I've been building. I decided to record a proper time comparison between **ThoughtsPlus** and **Obsidian** to show how they handle quick interruptions while you're in the middle of a task (our main pivot).

**The Results:**

* **ThoughtsPlus**: 7:14 seconds
* **Obsidian**: 16:10 seconds

The main goal with ThoughtsPlus was to solve the context switching penalty which for our specific niche, was just a lot of friction when you have an idea. In the video, you can see that with Obsidian, you have to stop what you're doing, open the app, create a new note, which really breaks your flow.

So then theirs Quick Capture feature (`Ctrl+Shift+N`) to fix this. It pulls up a overlay over whatever you're currently working on. You just type the thought, hit `Esc`, and it auto saves as a `.nt` file while you stay right in your task.

* **Microsoft Store**: [Get it here](https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9nb8vzfwnv81?hl=en-GB&gl=GB)

Now also available on MacOS and Linux but as builds (no auto updates are available for these options)

Please also note that this is a WIP app, its completely free, no ads and is just made by a group of students who wanted to make a solution to a few problems we had with the popular apps. [Features and feedback](https://github.com/umfhero/ThoughtsPlus/issues) are welcomed.
