Applying to Elementary BEd and SFU pdp

Hi everyone! I’m planning to apply to the Elementary next intake and was hoping to get some insight from people who’ve applied or been accepted before.

My background:

•	1000+ hours as a day camp instructor

•	\~200 hours of classroom facilitation

•	\~50 hours volunteering in classrooms

•	\~25 hours with Reading Buddies

•	3.1 GPA ( from SFU)

Most of my experience is with elementary-aged kids and includes planning activities, classroom management, and supporting diverse learning needs. I know my GPA isn’t super high, so I’m wondering how much weight UBC puts on experience . Does this sound competitive? Any advice on what to really focus on in the application?
