Good/creative tailor?

I need to get my pair of jeans altered. Already tried it with a tailor, but they didn't do a good job.

I've noticed that many tailors aren't very open to altering used clothes; they like to stitch fresh clothes. It might be because I went to the wrong one, but if you can recommend someone who is also a bit creative, that'd be nice. Thanks!
