Just finished watching Dhurandhar and I can’t stop thinking about Akshaye Khanna. The way he underplays every scene barely raising his voice, but controlling every frame reminds you why he’s such a solid actor. It honestly feels like one of his best performances in years.

What I love about him is that he’s never tried to fit the “typical Bollywood star” mold. No constant PR, no forced massy image. He just shows up, delivers, and disappears. And yet, whether it’s Border, Dil Chahta Hai, Hungama, Section 375, Drishyam 2, or now Dhurandhar, he leaves an impact.

It made me think: in terms of acting craft and lasting respect, Akshaye Khanna might actually surpass even his legendary father, Vinod Khanna. Vinod was a superstar, massive charisma, huge presence, box office hits but Akshaye has built something subtler and more enduring: credibility, consistency, and the kind of performances that stick with audiences for decades.

This isn’t about box office numbers. It’s about who really leaves a mark every time they’re on screen. Akshaye Khanna has that rare combination of craft, restraint, and presence that makes him unforgettable.

I’d love to hear your thoughts….do you agree, or is Vinod still untouchable in your eyes, even after destroying his career due to another legend OSHO !!

Dhurandhar on Netflix reminded me why Akshaye Khanna is one of the finest actors of his generation—maybe even stronger than Vinod Khanna
