When I read some of the comments regarding CW's service, I always thought people are overreacting..... until it happened to me.

Bought my first CW watch during the recent sale. A C63 Sealander Malachite Nearly new

These were the issues:
1) DHL emailed me saying I have to pay tax eventhough I have paid to CW. Had to go through the hassle of settling the issue, leading to a delay of me receiving the watch. Which also eats into my warranty period.

2) Strap that came with the watch was a XS. Listing did not state size of strap.

3) Tiny scratch at the back of lugs. (This is probably not so much of an issue as its at the back and watch listed as nearly new)

4) Malachite dial not vibrant due to absence of dark green streaks. Makes the dial alittle dull (Downside of purchasing online for stone dials. Luck of the draw))

5) Price in GBP is cheaper than the default local currency when purchasing. I could have saved GBP80 if I knew about this prior to my purchase. But why the discrepency? I think this irks me the most. It doesnt happen on other companies.

6) I also purchased a separate strap but received a used one. It is definitely not new from the creasing of the strap. Probably a returned item. The strap was not listed in the sale section and not listed as 'nearly new'.

I have emailed CW. Today is the 3rd day and have not gotten a response. If I do decide to return the watch and strap, it is going to be a hassle getting the full amount including the tax. Plastic film still on the watch. Do I have to pay for the shipping back?

This is entirely my own opinion of my own experience. I read some bought with no issues and are satisfied. Oh well.....
