Would you actually use a voicemail service in Pakistan?

Roast My Idea

Aoa everyone.

I've been thinking about building a voicemail service for Pakistan since literally no telecom provider offers it (yeah I know iPhones/Samsung have the option in settings but it doesn't work because our telecoms don't support it).

The idea is simple: if you miss a call, the caller hears something natural maybe like "Sorry, yeh user abhi busy hain. Kindly apni call karnay ki wajah bata dein, yeh free hotay hi apko callback kar lein gay." The voicemail gets saved and you get a notification to check it later.

I can build this technically, but wanted to ask:

  1. Would you or anyone you know actually use this?
  2. What type of people/businesses would benefit most? (I'm thinking maybe clinics, small businesses, even plumbers/electricians? or some other kinda bizs who lose customers due to missed calls)
  3. How much would you pay monthly for something like this?
  4. What other features could make it a no-brainer?

Also thinking of offering IVR services (proper call routing/extensions) for local businesses. Some examples i could think of:

  • Restaurants: "Welcome to ABC restaurant. Menu dekhnay k liye 1 dabaein, order place karnay k liye 2 dabaein" and then auto-send menu via SMS if someone presses 1.
  • Clinics: "Dr. Ahmed se baat karnay k liye 1 dabaein, Dr. Wajeeha se baat karnay k liye 2 dabaein, front desk k liye 3 dabaein" single customer facing number, intelligent routing.
  • Courier companies: Automated tracking updates, caller presses 1, enters tracking number, gets instant status update via natural-sounding TTS, without needing a human agent.

(First time posting on reddit so please excuse any mistakes)

Be brutally honest, is there even a real need for this or will i just waste my time building smth like this here in Pak? Any feedback, criticism, or suggestions would be really helpful. Thanks!
