Can it wait a few months? Old ankle injury pain

Bones/Joints/Ligaments

No image sorry. (not too keen on feet online)

Background: 2 years ago I dislocated my ankle (supposedly, it reset before i made it to a doctor i am hypermobile and have had dislocated my knee before never the ankle, i assume it dislocated because i physically couldnt move it until there was a really loud and painful pop and then i could move it again) and potentially broke the bone right above the ankle. One doctor said yes, the other said i didnt and only sprained it.

Recently over the past two months or so my ankle has been painful. I've also noticed that it looks different than my other ankle (uninjured ankle) like the bony part sits in a different spot. It does have a continuous swollen/squishy piece in front of the ankle bone that the other doesnt. My partner grabbed my ankle a few weeks ago in a playful manner and it hurt way more than it should have, (it wasnt too rough but my ankle hurt the remainder of the day)

The pain is low, but continuous like im more aware of it than anything else on my body. it doesnt feel more painful with walking or at least not enough to make me feel like movement is a problem.

Im just worried something never healed right or if it never set properly, if i should try to make it into a specialist for bones or if i can wait a few months for my primary doctor?
