My thoughts after 100 hours
Hi everyone I thought people might be interested in my experience:)
I understand that on release this game was a disgrace however I was really pleased to hear that since then it has had constant repairs and updates done to improve it, I got the game from ps+ ages ago, tried it for an hour and left. But after season 2 of the show started I wanted something fallout to sink my teeth into and I heard this had a bit of a redemption story like cyberpunk.
I've got to say for the time I played it was entertaining running around a new map with new guns and occasionally meeting new people although I could never shake the feeling that it was a very well done multiplayer mod of fo4, a now 10+ year old game.
I have completed almost all side quests, main quests and many many events to try and get the full experience but imo none of the stories held me apart from maybe the brotherhood line and I found it really obvious when npcs had been tacked on to an area that previously had none, furthermore in my 100 hours I would encounter game breaking bugs (npcs not interacting, keys not working etc) or just hard crashes every 1-2 hours of gameplay.
While the quests were okay im pretty sure ive ran through almost everything of note and finished the gold quest line last, just as I reached lvl 100.
So I would guess that the rest of the game is a massive grind of events and daily ops for marginally better equipment, searching for god rolls, quad mods or leader bobbleheads.
I'd rather not just dog on this game so I'll say the community was wonderful and always helpful, my god some of the camp builds ive seen are incredible and I love that people have so much passion to build such beautiful homes.
But yes anyway in total it keeps you in the fallout universe technically indefinitely but runs out of content too quickly for something getting updates for the last 6 years, 6.5/10
