Long term catheter users for incontinence simulation: what has your experience been like?

I am specifically looking to hear from people who use catheters for long term incontinence simulation, meaning weeks or months at a time.

If this applies to you, I would really like to know how you manage daily life with a catheter, how long it took you to get used to having it in, and what your first days or weeks were like. I am especially interested in both the physical side and the mental or emotional side of adapting to it.
