USA Job search

I'm searching for job opportunities in the US. I know a few headhunters like selbyjennings and rober walters. But I've heard they do not respond. Does anyone have experience with good recruiting agencies that have contacted and helped to get placed in a company? Can you please name those firms?
I'm specifically looking to get Finance or Consulting Jobs in MNC's.
