Possibly Inhaled Septum Pincher
Help.
As of tonight I was wearing a small diameter (I think 14mm, don't remember) 6 gauge wooden septum pincher.
This morning I woke up with my piercing nowhere to be found and unfortunately had no time to look for it before leaving the house.
Is it possible that I inhaled it in my sleep without noticing? It's kind of thick but I don't know.
I looked it up and I'm reading conflicting information about whether I would notice immediately if it went into my lungs or not.
I'm coming off of a flu right now so I'm coughing already and I already get mild chest pains sometimes.
Similar episodes have happened before with the same pincher, which broke twice and I consequently inhaled the tip that broke off, and spit it out 30 mins to a few hours later.
This time I can't find the whole thing though, and it still has the small parts I glued on while waiting on my new pincher.
I'm going to the doctor in 3 days for something unrelated so if I don't find it I'll tell her.
Either way, do you think it's possible it's lodged in my lungs without me knowing?
