I’m genuinely interested in hearing from people who are critical of TVK

அரசியல் / Political

Many argue that following a cinema star into politics is immature, and I understand that criticism. But if we consider ourselves politically mature enough to reject that, my genuine question is who should we vote for instead, and why?

DMK - Yeah the party has a long governance record, but it also carries serious baggage. corruptions, criminal elements among cadres, and nepotism. Star worship may be problematic, but is it really worse than party cadres roaming late at night under a DMK flag, harassing women, or katta panchayat in the party’s name? This party has been involved in crimes for years, and it’s impossible to list them all here.

ADMK - Same story as DMK. The corruption remains, only the nature of crimes differs. Everyone knows about the involvement of party members in the Pollachi case. Just this morning, I saw news of an ADMK member threatening someone with a gun. Are TVK party members really more dangerous than this? Also now aligned with BJP which is just and religious and casteist party.

NTK - Absolutely clueless about economic reality. They would belive in some pesudo science and would force the entire state to do that. I believe seeman will undo the decades of progress done in TN with single moto of turning us into agrarian society while rejecting industrialisation.

I’ll be honest: I initially considered voting for TVK. After reading many critiques, I reassessed that choice and became open to changing my vote. But that brings me back to the original question if not TVK, then who?

Many people are quick to mock TVK and its supporters, which is fair. But when all major alternatives have been displaying extreme or problematic behavior for years, what is the realistic, responsible choice?

I’m not here to defend any party especially TVK. Just genuinely interested in understanding what credible alternatives critics of TVK are actually planning to vote for, and the reasoning behind it.
