23, Student Debt, No job starting at level zero. Need leverage, freedom, and money

Hi,

So basically as the title says. I am currently in school for film and media production (switched from Political Science and have very little filmaking know how) but we all know the degree hardly matters so my classes are secondary to me this semester. I grew up poor. I live at home with my father, commute daily, and have no jobs and currently no connections in the city I commute to because I am a transfer. Due to some relational trauma I have used the last year to mostly work on myself, but I know i can't put that on a resume. I also just got tested for adhd as well, because I've been struggling with executive function, and I am hoping to try out some meds to help with that. Of course it goes without saying I'm a wee bit depressed, and anxious at the particular moment.

However, why not gamify this? I'm at level zero and I'd like to make a strong come back, and build a life where I can be financially independent and content. I love storytelling and if I had it my way, for my career I'd be leading creative projects and helping shape the narratives and outcomes of films, videogames, international high end or interactive immersive art installations, certain producer roles in marketing, and/or thematic rooms and events. I love writing and have had some experience in project management in related classes, Student Activities Council, and Student Government Board. I like making tanglible creative projects come to life for communities-and I especially love helping design them.

In addition and in my dreams, I'd like to make my own arts and production studio to amplify lesser known creatives through social media and connect them to local nonprofits or causes for events, and eventually make this scalable. This is a vision I'm trying to keep alive. This is an idea and I share it to share where my heart and head lay.

I was told to check out event production as a career and perhaps that is the best fit. I'd love second opinions, resource suggestions, and practical steps at building financial stability, friendships, and overall leverage for the roles I'm interested in. I also would love starting suggestions for jobs at the moment that are the most leveragable. If it's Mcdonalds to bring in consistent income so be it, just though there might be a more related field. I live in Pittsburgh, it's January, and the wheather outside sums up how I feel at the current moment. I'm a little burnt out and lonely at the moment not gonna lie, but I'm open to strategy, insight, or general advice, as well as starting positions. I do also have my school's resources at my disposal.

I invoke the ancient wisdom of reddit for guidance. Thank you if you're kind enough to respond.
