General strike: can't get out of my appointments?

I own and operate an appointment based business. I already had to reschedule two of my clients to tomorrow, before I heard of the general strike.

Would it be completely nuts of me to not accept payment from my clients tomorrow? I can afford it - not comfortably but it wouldn't be a disaster. I'm feeling guilty about not being able to participate and I want to make some kind of impact. Do you think this would have any effect on anyone? Or do you think they'd just be happy for a free service and never give it a second thought?
