Is this acceptable act or selfish act

We are long time friends and now I want to confess my feelings.

My guy friend is courting a friend for almost a year now and they are doing well. Exclusive dating. We actually had something before but didn’t push thru cause I guess we were both afraid to ruin the friendship.

Now that I had lots of realizations, I would like to admit my feelings to him. Honestly I expect nothing but just to give myself peace of mind. Of course I hope but that’s a long shot.

I wanna know as this could somehow ruin their relationship, should I tell him or should I just suppress this and just hope this feelings die. Cause I feel like I’m giving him problem when I confess this.
