I’ve been getting a lot of requests for fast construction estimates, curious how others handle this

I’m a carpenter by trade with 40+ years in residential construction, mostly additions, sunrooms, and renovations, now were building new homes in Delaware, and I'm extremely busy.

Lately I’ve had a lot of people asking for rough pricing early before they decide whether to move forward, and many don’t want to wait weeks for someone to come out just to get a starting number. So, I needed to find a solution that works.

I’ve been testing a remote estimate process where homeowners upload photos, basic scope, and measurements so I can give them a realistic price range quickly usually within a day. This is not a contract, just something accurate enough to plan around.

Curious from homeowners and contractors here:

Would something like this actually be useful?
What info would your customer expect in a professional estimate?
What would make you trust it?

Not trying to sell anything here, just genuinely interested in feedback.

I'm pretty much done using up my weekend to go out on estimates, only for people who are not ready and trying to plan ahead. I'm hoping this would be a better solution to my problem.

Thanks for your input!
