garmin chargers interchangeable?

i just bought a forerunner 55 after getting an old 235 from a family friend a couple of years ago. unfortunately i bought it off the amazon storefront, and my watch came out of the box dead and without a charger.

i know the chargers all use the four pin system. stupid question, but what are the chances the old clip charger will work on my 55?
