So Fellaini is a certainty now, with Giggs/Cleverley/Anderson switching it around. I wouldn't mind seeing Ando + Afro.

Least Smalling is going to get some good time in the middle now.

EDIT: Oh wait, Fellaini has that wrist as well. Really cannot have him go as well.

Fuck :( This sucks, felt like Jones was just a few games away from ending up first choice with the way he's been playing.

Oh well, time for our legendary combo (Ando and Clev) to shine.

Well Fellaini was bought for this contingency.

Has buttner ever played in midfield? I feel he's a bit too attacking for Lb but he might be decent at somewhere in the middle

Would like to see him playing as a LM

Big blow with Carrick out as well, it's definitely turning into one of those seasons.

Have faith that Fellaini can step up soon and play well alongside Cleverley over the next couple of weeks. He hasn't played as poorly as some around here would have you believe, and we know from his time at Everton that he can be quite a solid player when he's on decent form.

Evans/Vidic have been fantastic this season, and even when we don't have our best midfield in play, we're resilient and can be devastating on the counter attack through our wingers/attackers, and especially Rooney. Will losing Carrick/Jones potentially reduce our possession play? Most likely (although Cleverley can help a lot in that regard, and Giggs can put in a decent shift when he's rested). Does it mean that our season is over or destroyed? No.

We still have Rooney, RVP, Valencia, Nani, Januzaj, Kagawa, Cleverley, Evra, Vidic, Evans, Smalling, Rafael and De Gea. I wouldn't consider a team like that to be in a 'selection crisis'.

We have 2 and a half fit centre mids. I'm not considering Anderson fully fit. That's a selection crisis. We have a congested fixture list including a very important away game at Leverkusen - which Fellaini can't even play in.

Cleverley and Giggs will most likely start together that game, and Fellaini will play in the league. Cleverley can play 2 games in a week, Giggs most likely can't so he'll need to switch off with Fellaini playing at the weekend. And Carrick/Jones are not necessarily going to be out through all of December. Let's see who we have available as the fixtures come. I have full faith that we'll be in the top 3 by the new year.

3 weeks man. Damn if he keeps pushing his body to the limit, he isn't going to make to 30 in his career. I mean at that age you shouldn't be getting hurt like most of the time. We've been in situations like this before and we turned out fine for example two years ago when all the midfielders went down we had to get Scholes out of retirement and it worked out okay to a point. We will be okay if we play our game.

Did I miss how long they said he was out for? Why is everyone freaking out...it doesn't seem like a very serious injury.
