Spent over a week in a psychiatric hospital last summer due to suffering a DPH (Benadryl) induced psychosis, AMA

Yes this is as dumb as it sounds and this is mostly a cautionary tale, so I ingested around a gram (42 pills) worth of DPH out of pure morbid curiosity. I was aware at the time of the delirious effects it had on people but I had to just find out for myself like an idiot. Long story short, it was hell. Saw dead family members, alive ones, shadows, spiders, had auditory hallucinations of people talking, the whole nine yards of a DPH "trip". It was like a living nightmare I couldn't wake up from. The next day I woke up paranoid and was really hesitant to speak. I was going to the gas station that day for something to snack on and during my walk I was followed by individuals wearing all black. Got scared, dialed 911, had an ER stay then involuntarily admitted into a mental hospital for 8 days. Please don't be stupid or try to act like you can "handle" it if you're curious about something, just read accounts from other individuals to save yourself.
